We eagerly look forward to our families moving to the next year level in 2026!
Transitioning at John Paul College is consistently a thrilling period for our families, and we are committed to ensuring a smooth and positive experience, making the process easy and enjoyable for everyone involved.
This portal has been designed to support our new and current families to ensure you are prepared for your child's first day in the new year level.
Our Principal, Mr Craig Merritt, would like to welcome you to our College in the video message.
We have created web pages with further information relevant to your child/ren's 2026 year level and recommend that you take the time to review this content and ensure you have completed the checklists relevant to each school. Please click on the links below:
Our Class of 2026 College Captains – Amy Cosford, Joshuah Craig and the College Captains have also prepared a welcome for our current and new students with a few inside tips about daily life at John Paul College.

Retail Centre Holiday Hours - The John Paul College Retail Centre will offer 30-minute uniform fitting sessions during the Christmas break for all new and current students.
We will not be able to accept walk-ins during this time, so we request that families take the time to book a 30-minute uniform fitting session for their child/ren. Please note that a separate session is required for each child, and multiple bookings are required per family. We recommend you make two bookings in a row.
The Athlete's Foot will also be on campus from Monday 5 January to Friday 23 January (excluding weekends), offering fittings for children. Purchases will be available on the day. No bookings are required for the Athlete's Foot pop-up shop.
For any enquiries about JPC uniforms, please contact us at 07 3826 3397 or email retailcentre@jpc.qld.edu.au.

All students, including new students, are required to go directly to their classrooms on Tuesday 27 January. Doors will open at 8.15am for a 8.30am Roll Call. For those students who do not know which classroom to go to, there will be staff available in The ARC to assist from 8.00am. Click here to access the Primary Map.
Day 1 - Tuesday 27 January 2026 (8.20am - 3.20pm)
Year 7, Year 10 and Year 12 students only
Day 2 - Wednesday 28 January 2026 (8.20am - 3.20pm)
All students (Years 7 to 12) commence regular timetable
New Students:
Year 7 students will assemble on the courts next to the Piazza, while Year 8 to 11 students will come directly to Main Administration by 8.00am. This allows us to prepare students for Roll Call at 8.20am in their Academic Welfare classrooms.
All Students:
We ask that ALL students wear their blazers on the first day of school; however, we do understand that at times there are delays. We kindly ask that any student who is without their blazer due to it being embroidered, or whose blazer has not yet arrived, bring a note from home.
Students are required to wear their formal uniform on the first day of term, which includes school ties for all students. Boys are not required to wear long pants. Should any student have difficulty obtaining uniform items in time for the first day, we ask the student to advise their Academic Welfare Mentor with a letter from the parent or guardian.
To help families stay informed and connected, we advise that commencement information will be sent to families to ensure a smooth transition into the new year.
For parents of new students, all relevant information will be available via the Admissions Portal until the beginning of January 2026. At that point, families will receive an email with instructions to access MyJPC, the College's main communications platform.
Parents of current students will receive their commencement information from the College before the end of Term 4, with any updates to be included in MyJPC.
